Suspect Arrested in Lexington County Killing
Thursday, November 13, 2014

Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies have arrested a suspect who they say shot and killed a man earlier this week in West Columbia.

Keith Everette Brown, 21, of West Columbia is charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and criminal conspiracy.

Warrants say Brown and a group of other people confronted the victim, 21-year-old Luqman Shatone Sims, Monday night in an attempt to rob him. The two got in a fight, and officers say during the confrontation Brown shot Sims in the upper body.

Deputies are trying to identify the other people who were with Brown during the robbery.
