Forest Acres Bank Robbed

Forest Acres, SC (WLTX) - Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a branch of BB&T Bank in Forest Acres Tuesday morning.

According to Forest Acres Police Chief M. E. Sealy, the suspect entered the BB&T Bank branch located at 3401 Forest Drive at approximately 10:00AM dressed in a dark navy or grey knee-length coat, a dark colored derby-style hat, and sunglasses.

The suspect presented a note to a teller demanding money, and implied that he carried a weapon on his person, though none was presented or seen during the robbery.

The suspect is approximately 5' 6", slim build, and possibly bearded.

Chief Sealy says that no one was hurt, and the suspect escaped through the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash.
