Deputies: Man Drugged, Sexually Assaulted Teens
Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies have arrested a man they say gave drugs and alcohol to two females, then sexually assaulted them.

Eddie Harmon Jones, 44, is charged with one count of assault with intent to commit first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to officers, the incidents happened at the man's home near Lexington, and the man gave the victims Xanax, marijuana, and hard liquor.

An arrest warrant says that on September 1st, he gave a 16-year-old girl a mix of drugs and alcohol. The girl complained of a headache, then lay down on the floor of his garage. Officers say Jones then inappropriately touched the girl, who was able to push him away and run from the home.

On September 15th, a warrant says he provided drugs and alcohol to an 18-year-old, causing the woman to lose consciousness. Deputies say the woman woke up to find McCarty engaging in sex acts with her.

As of late Monday, Jones was being held on $250,000 bond. The case remains under investigation.
