97-Year-Old & 76-Year-Old Man Beaten, Robbed

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are searching for the person who they say beat up and robbed two men in two separate crimes. Sheriff Leon Lott says the incident happened on October 4th around 11:30 a.m. on Old Manor Road. According to officers, the suspect dragged the victim out of his car, then punched him several times in the face and upper body. The suspect then drove off in the victm's 1992 Honda Accord with South Carolina tag number CHS 349. The vehicle contained the man's cell phone, glasses, and checkbook. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect. Two hours later, deputies say the suspect was caught on camera in Cornelius, North Carolina driving the victim's car. Officers say the suspect assaulted a 97-year-old man up there and stole his wallet.
