UPDATE: Suspect in Fatal Shooting Arrested
Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting from over the weekend.

Officers say 36-year-old Shagura Ramon Mack turned himself in Monday night, and they intend to charge him with murder.

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers got a call that 29-year-old Jermaine Holloway had gone to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators determined that Holloway and a friend went to meet an acquaintance at a Belleville Road residence, and as they were leaving the place, Mack ran up to their car and began firing into the vehicle.

The friend drove the victim to the hospital, where he later died.

Officers have not released a possible motive in the crime.
