Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Department of Corrections and Crimestoppers are asking for the community's assistance in locating a man they believe is connected to an attempt to smuggle contraband into a maximum-security prison, using a drone.

Authorities say the investigation began the morning of April 21 after two individuals tried to use a drone to sneak cellphones, marijuana and other contraband into Lee Correctional Institution.

This morning officials released surveillance images of this person of interest, who they say was in the area prior to the incident.
