SHERIFF PROMOTES DEPUTY
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts promoted one Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputy to serve as the supervisor of a road patrol shift.
Metts promoted Matthew “Matt” McCaw, 39, of Pelion, to the rank of sergeant and assigned McCaw to supervise a road patrol shift in the South Region Patrol District, which is based in Pelion. McCaw previously held the rank of master deputy, serving as the assistant supervisor of a road patrol shift in the South Region Patrol District. On September 21, 2009, Metts appointed McCaw to serve as a deputy.
