Investigators work to ID Tatoo/suspects in assault and murder
RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying those responsible for assaulting two male victims and murdering another at 1606 Fairlamb Avenue, Columbia SC 29223 on Saturday March 15, 2014.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that around 2:00 AM on March 15, 2014 a tall, light skinned female (with shoulder length hair with a weave or wig and possibly black or Hispanic, 5’7-5’11 150lbs, 18-22 years of age) with a simple tattoo on her upper chest/collar area approached several men at Latino’s Bar and Grill located at 2401 Old Percival Road, Columbia SC 29223. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the female approached the men, presenting herself as “Mariah” and was soliciting for sex. The Sheriff stated that three men left the bar with her and when they did, investigators believe that the men were followed home by her and three additional suspects. The Sheriff added that when they arrived at the home on Fairlamb Avenue, two of the victim’s were severely beaten and robbed and the third was shot and killed.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects are believed to have been driving a light in color vehicle possibly grey, beige or tan and described as: 1) tall, heavy set black male in his 30s 2) young, thin black male with long braids in his hair 3) thin, shorter black male with short hair. The Sheriff stated that investigators are working to determine who is responsible and will continue to follow up on leads; as they work to find who is responsible for this horrible crime.
