Witness Wanted in Fatal Hit & Run
Friday, February 7, 2014

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The Highway Patrol is asking for help to find a witness in a fatal hit and run from last year.

The incident took place back on December 21st on Broad River Road.

Investigators say 51-year-old Robert Dale Soland III was driving on a motorcycle when he crashed at that location just after 8 p.m. While he was on the ground, a vehicle hit him, then drove away.

Officers have said they're looking for a blue 2010-2013 GMC Terrain SUV in connection with the incident. The vehicle may be missing a rear center plastic hitch area cover.

Thursday, though, troopers released surveillance images Thursday afternoon of a woman who may have seen the incident. Officers say they're hoping she can provide them with clues in the case.
