Suspect wanted in Richland County on multiple charges

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for burglary, grand larceny and two counts of obtaining property under false pretenses.

Daniel Peterson, 31, is accused of breaking into a home on Baywater Drive through the bathroom window on Jan. 10 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Sheriff Lott said Peterson damaged the toilet, which flooded the bathroom and bedroom, and stole a Sony Playstation 3, LED Toshiba Television and a Wii gaming system. The estimated value of stolen items plus the damage of the home is $2,300.

Peterson is wanted in connection with other burglaries Sheriff Lott said.
