Suspects Arrested for Trafficking Marijuana

Lancaster, SC – On Tuesday 12/31/2013 Lancaster County Drug Task Force Investigators arrested and charged Mynone Rashad Blair (B/M DOB: 03-24-1977 Address: 2198 Pacer Dr. Lancaster) and Lakeisha Sharmeka Gaston (B/F DOB: 09/09/1984 2198 Pacer Dr. Lancaster) with Trafficking Marijuana more than 10 pounds less than 100 pounds.

Investigators were searching for Blair due to outstanding arrest warrant for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Investigators located Blair leaving a residence on Pacer Dr. and stopped the vehicle. Blair was arrested and large amount of cash and marijuana was located in the vehicle. As the investigation continued, investigators located more marijuana at 3853 Spirit Rd. Heath Springs where Blair stated he also lived. Investigators also obtained a search warrant for 2198 Pacer Dr. Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators discovered more marijuana inside that residence. In total, approximately 26 lbs of marijuana (Estimated street value- $25,000) was seized from the traffic stop and the two homes. Investigators also located and seized a large amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun during the investigation. Gaston was arrested at her home on Pacer Dr. after the execution of the search warrant. Gaston also faces charges of Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and resisting arrest.

Both subjects were jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center. They were released the following day on a $40,000 Surety Bond.

Sheriff Faile said, “We are extremely pleased to get these illegal drugs off of the street and get these individuals charged. Given the amount of marijuana located, we believe these individuals to be major players in marijuana distribution. Job Well done.”
