General Debris Burning Ban Issued for the unincorporated areas of Lexington County
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a red flag fire alert for Lexington County beginning Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 7:00 am.
In compliance with this ban, the Lexington County Fire Chief, Brad Cox, has issued a ban on general debris burning in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County beginning Saturday, January 25 at 7:00 am until the ban is lifted by the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
In accordance with the County of Lexington’s Ordinance, all burning is banned with the exception of burns related to forestry, wildlife, agriculture and cooking for the immediate consumption of food.
If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
