Five Points Foundation to Donate 27th Annual Chili Cook-Off Proceeds to Charity
Friday, January 31, 2014

COLUMBIA, S.C. (January 30, 2014) – The 27th Annual Chili Cook Off in Five Points was a huge success. With over 45 cooking teams and 50 chilis offered to patrons, the event attracted over 4,000 people on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Today, members of the Chili Cook-Off planning committee were able to donate the event’s proceeds in the amount of $9,415 to Camp Kemo and $2,000 to The Hope Center.

The Chili Cook-Off would not have been possible without the generous support of businesses across the midlands, including: Budweiser of Columbia, Banfi Vinters, BI-LO, BB&T, McDaniel’s Automotive, Kroger, WACH Fox, Merchants Foodservice, City Roots, Old Timey Meat Market, Rosewood Market, Free Times, Group Therapy and Liquid Assets. The Five Points Foundation looks forward to the 28th Annual Chili Cook-Off coming this fall and will begin planning this summer.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
