Zaxby's employee shot in the leg during armed robbery

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- North Augusta Public Safety needs your help finding a pair of armed robbers they say shot a Zaxby's employee and then robbed the store.

The shooting and attempted robbery happened on Knox Avenue around 11 p.m.

Officers report one man entered the store and put a gun to an employee's head. The employee tried to run and was then shot with a revolver in the leg.

Another man with a rifle also entered the store, the report says they demanded cash and officers believe could have made a getaway in a yellow car.

Surveillance video of the incident has yet to be released to the media.
