AMAZON DONATES $5,000 TO SHERIFF’S FOUNDATION
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Amazon.com officials on Friday, December 20 presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation during a holiday luncheon that was held at the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Training Center, 541 Gibson Road, Lexington.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said Amazon donated $5,000 to the Sheriff’s Foundation in order to provide financial support for the annual Sheriff’s Department holiday food and toy drive, which provides food, toys, and clothes to persons in Lexington County who are in need of assistance.
“In order to create a great community, it is essential for our agency to have a great working relationship with citizens and businesses,” Metts said. “Amazon has been a wonderful addition to our community, and this donation further demonstrates Amazon’s commitment to be a force for good in Lexington County.”
