66-year-old woman found murdered in her home
NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A 66-year-old Newberry County woman was found dead over the weekend, and Newberry County Sheriff's investigators are calling her death suspicious.
Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster said the body of Andrenna Butler was found Saturday night on the floor of her home on Highway 176.
Foster said a friend discovered Butler after numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact her.
Investigators say Butler lived alone and was estranged from her husband of over 50 years. There were no signs of forced entry, no signs of theft, and the alarm system was not armed.
Foster said the Coroner's Office has not yet determined a cause of death.
