Police: Three Suspects Arrested In Home Invasion
Prosperity, SC (WLTX) - Newberry County deputies have arrested three men for a home invasion and armed robbery that occurred on Fire Tower Road in Prosperity Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies say the men, who were acquaintances with the victim, approached the victim at gunpoint in his yard and stole money from him. Officers say they then forced him into the house where they sought more money and other items. Afterwards, officers say the men fled the scene.
"This crime absolutely shook a great community and we want to assure them that there are safe," said Sheriff Lee Foster. "This was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted crime based on the suspect's relationship and knowledge of the victim. Members of the community may rest assured that they are well protected and safe in their homes."
Foster said that the exact nature of the relationship between the suspects and victim was part of the ongoing investigation.
The men were all arrested and charged with armed robbery, burglary, and kidnapping.The suspects are as follows: Phillip Dominick, 25; Garian Jaleel Greenwood, 17 Markevis; and Daiman Kinard, 20. All are from the town of Prosperity.
Still Sought is Randevious Hi-Keem Sims, 18, of Newberry.
