Identity Fraud charges for female arrested while soliciting money
AIKEN, SC - Investigators with Aiken Department of Public Safety have charged Lebrooke Shannice Smith (20) of Augusta, GA with identity fraud. Mrs. Smith used the name of Kendra Morris when she was arrested for obtaining goods under false pretenses and soliciting without a license on Wednesday. Mrs. Smith is accused of soliciting money from motorists along Fabian Drive in Aiken, SC. (Full story below)
Investigators began receiving Crimestoppers tips and calls from local media after the community recognized the individual arrested had used someone else’s name. This afternoon investigators confirmed her identity through the use of fingerprints.
