DEPUTIES ARREST WOMAN WHO WAS WANTED FOR BREAKING INTO HOME AND STEALING SIX FIREARMS
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Thursday, October 17 arrested a 28-year-old woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant on a charge of first-degree burglary. The arrest warrant alleges that the woman broke into a home on Shirway Road near Lexington on August 20 and stole six firearms as well as a half-gallon of vodka.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said deputies arrested Tabitha Ann Bryant, 28, who does not have a permanent address, at about 8 a.m. on Thursday at a home in the Gaston community. Deputies received information that Bryant was at the residence. Bryant was being held on Thursday at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
The arrest warrant alleges that between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on August 20 Bryant broke into the Shirway Road home and stole six firearms, including one .357-magnum Smith & Wesson handgun, one .22-caliber Stevens rifle, one 12-gauge shotgun, one Remington pump-action, .22-caliber rifle, one 7-mm magnum Remington rifle, with a scope, and one 30-30 rifle, with a scope, Metts said.
