COLUMBIA CLASSIC CHEVY CLUB DONATES 400 POUNDS OF FOOD
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Members of the Columbia Classic Chevy Club donated 400 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday, October 12 after the club conducted a food drive in the parking lot of the Woodberry Plaza shopping center on U.S. 1 near West Columbia.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said the Sheriff’s Department will distribute the 400 pounds of non-perishable food items to persons in Lexington County who are need of assistance. Deputies will distribute the food during the agency’s annual holiday food drive. Lt. Kevin Blackmon is coordinating the Sheriff’s Department holiday food drive.
The Sheriff’s Department holiday food drive reflects the agency’s mission of providing professional law enforcement services that enhance the quality of life for all people in Lexington County, Metts said.
