USC Division of Law Enforcement and Safety and Crimestoppers seeking assistance identifying assault suspect

COLUMBIA, SC - The USC Division of Law Enforcement and Safety and Crimestoppers are seeking your assistance in identifying the following assault suspect.

On 09/17/2013, an unidentified male subject approached a female between the Strom Thurmond Wellness Center and Greek Village off Blossom Street and asked for directions. As she was walking away, the subject grabbed her inappropriately and then fled the area.

The subject is described as a deep tanned male in his thirties with facial hair. At the time he was wearing a white hat.

The suspect may also drive or have access to a dark in color older model Dodge Durango.

A composite sketch has been completed.

Any information regarding the suspect’s identity should be directed to Inv. April Owens at 803-777-4215.
