Thursday, September 12, 2013

Lancaster, SC – On Tuesday 09/10/2013 the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force Unit arrested and charged William Matthew Hillard (W/M DOB:06/21/1985 Address: 889 Greenbriar Dr. Lancaster) with Growing/Manufacturing Marijuana. Investigators went to Hillard’s residence after receiving information that he was growing marijuana inside the home. Upon arrival investigators could smell marijuana coming from inside the home. After obtaining a search warrant, investigators located an indoor growing operation inside the home.

Investigators seized 20 marijuana plants from the residence along with marijuana that had already been harvested and various marijuana growing tools and accessories. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $25,000. Hillard was incarcerated at the Lancaster County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.

Sheriff Faile said, “Drug Enforcement has always been and will continue to be one of top priorities. We are pleased to get these drugs off street and get this individual in jail. Job well done.”
