BOOK SALE

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - In one week, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a book sale between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, October 4 and between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 in the Squad Room at the Lexington County James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington. All proceeds from the book sale will benefit United Way of the Midlands.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts encourages citizens to participate in the book sale. All books will be sold for $1 each.

Detective Sandy Black is coordinating the book sale, Metts said. Citizens who have questions concerning the book sale can contact Black at her office at (803) 785-2533 or email her at sblack@lcsd.sc.gov.

The book sale is part of an on-going campaign by the Sheriff’s Department to raise money for United Way of the Midlands, Metts said. The book sale reflects the Sheriff’s Department mission of providing professional law enforcement services that enhance the quality of life for all people in Lexington County.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
