West Columbia Police to Increase Labor Day Weekend Enforcement
West Columbia, SC – The West Columbia Police Department will be conducting increased river patrols for underage drinking this Labor Day weekend thanks to funding by LRADAC and DAODAS.
Officers will patrol the river during different hours to ensure everyone is being safe and having a good time. Officers will be looking for underage alcohol consumption, over consumption and littering.
The amount of people using the river is increasing, and safety is our number one concern.
Broken beer bottles don’t mix with bare feet and irresponsible drinking doesn’t mix with a fast moving river.
