Two charged with murder in McDuffie Street shooting
Saturday, August 3, 2013

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Columbia Police have made two arrests in connection to a fatal shooting at the 1300 block of McDuffie Street back on July 20.

Police arrested 20-year-old Nickolas Richardson and 18-year-old Jessica Faye Edmonds on Wednesday.

Investigators say 24-year-old D'Andra Pelzer was shot in the head while she stood amongst a group of people in the area at about 3:30 a.m.

According to police, Richardson opened fire on that group.

Investigators say they don't believe the shooting was random, and Pelzer was not the intended target.

As for Edmonds, police investigators believe she helped Richardson get away from the scene in a white, older model Ford Crown Victoria.
