Police: Suspects Stole Cell Phones, Cigarettes, Energy Drinks

Chapin SC (WLTX) - Chapin police have arrested three people they say stole cell phones, cigarettes, and energy drinks from local stores.

The suspects are the following:

Antwone Anderson - charged with grand larceny, two counts of shoplifting

Isaac Potter- charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy.

Donnie Furtick- charged with two counts of shoplifting and criminal conspiracy.

Carmella Harding- charged with three counts of criminal conspiracy

Officers say the incidents began on July 27th at the Verizon Store at 130 A Chapin Road. According to police, Potter asked an employee where the restroom was. While he was away, the other suspects distracted the employee, police say, and Potter went into the storage area and took seven cell phones valued at $2,800.

A similar incident took place at the Food Lion at 140 Chapin Road on August 19th, when officers say the suspects distracted an employee and took $1,875 in cigarettes. Finally, officers say they suspects used the same technique hours later at the Pitt Stop at 648 Columbia Avenue to take $420 in 5 Hour Energy drinks.

Officers say a discription given from the Food Lion incident helped them find the suspects later on the 19th.
