Lexington, SC – The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jose Luise Ortiz, 22, of Columbia, SC who is wanted on multiple charges after a domestic violence incident which occurred in the Town of Lexington.

On August 24, 2013, Ortiz is accused of assaulting a female acquaintance which resulted in injuries to the female and a child she was holding. Additionally Ortiz forced entry into the female’s residence during the incident. Warrants for Criminal Domestic Violence, Child Endangerment and Burglary have been issued for his arrest. It is believed Ortiz is being sheltered by family members in and around his last known address of 7414 Claudia Drive in Columbia, SC.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Jose Ortiz they are urged to contact the Lexington Police Department at 803-359-6260 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC. Tips that lead to the arrest of suspects, as well as the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000, which are paid to tipsters on an anonymous basis.
