Deputies locate man wanted for stealing gold 'grille'
Friday, August 2, 2013

RICHLAND COUNTY - Richland County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man wanted on armed robbery charges stemming from an incident where a man's gold 'grille' was stolen.

Investigators located 18-year-old Christian Daniel Ray on Hunt Club Road Tuesday afternoon.

Ray is accused of holding another man at gunpoint and stealing his wallet, cell phone, and the aforementioned grille just after 2:00 a.m. on Sterling Cross Drive back on July 15.

Lott said the victim was asked by Ray and three other suspects for a ride to their homes.

While driving on Sterling Crossing Drive, the victim was asked to park in a cul-de-sac. Officials say Ray pointed a gun at the victim's head and forced him out of the car before making off with his possessions.

Lott said once Ray stole the items, he and the others fled the area.
