Police: Man Put Video Camera in Daycare Bathroom
Thursday, June 6, 2013

Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County Public Safety officers have arrested a suspect they say installed a video camera to look into a daycare bathroom. James Westley Staley, 39, is charged with voyeurism first offense. An arrest warrant states that on May 21st, Staley put the camera into a vent inside his home, which is also used as a daycare. According to the warrant, the camera was positioned so that it was aimed directly over the toilet. The warrant states that Staley admitted to putting the camera in the bathroom. Captain Mike Adams with the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety says Staley was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
