New Deputy Receives Top Honors at the Academy
Friday, June 28, 2013

Lancaster, SC – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is excited and honored to announce that Deputy Aaron Vrooman was awarded the J.P. Strom Award on 06/21/2013. The J.P. Strom Award is given to the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy graduate who obtains the highest academic average throughout the 12 week Basic Law Enforcement Certification program at the Academy. The J.P. Strom award is only awarded to one student in each class. Sheriff Faile was honored to be at the graduation ceremony Friday to help present Deputy Vrooman his award.

Sheriff Faile said, “We are extremely proud of Deputy Vrooman. He certainly had to work hard to achieve this honor and with most certainty will serve the citizens of Lancaster County well. He is exactly the type of officer we work hard to hire to work at the Sheriff’s Office. Job Well Done.”

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
