Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Robbery

Lancaster, SC – On Wednesday 05/08/2013 at 09:05 PM deputies were dispatched to the Antioch Grocery located at 2702 Flat Creek Rd. Lancaster, SC for a report of an Armed Robbery. Upon arrival the clerk reported that two unknown black male suspects entered the store with a handgun. One suspect jumped behind the counter and struck the clerk in the head. The suspects demanded money and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. A witness in the parking lot reported that the suspects fled to a car that was parked in a driveway several houses down. Upon reaching the car the suspects fled at a high rate of speed on Hwy 903 towards the City of Lancaster. The clerk was treated by EMS for minor injuries and no other persons were injured.

Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators responded and began a detailed investigation. At the time of this release no other information is available and appropriate for release.
