Woman's body found inside home, boyfriend to be charged
Tuesday, April 16, 2013

NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Newberry County deputies arrested a Whitmire man and have plans to charge him with the murder of a woman he had a "tumultuous, on again, off again relationship" with for several months.

Officials arrested 21-year-old Douglas Eugene Inman on Monday afternoon.

Law enforcement officers were called to the home of the victim located on Broome Street in the Whitmire community this afternoon just after 5 p.m. when a family member found the victim's body in the home.

Investigators say the unidentified victim and Inman shared a child.

Inman was out on bond for a charge of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, unrelated to this victim.

A first appearance hearing will be scheduled after the charges are formally filed.
