RCSD captures burglars‏

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrests of Christopher Lee Irick (DOB: 07/21/1994) and Kristopher Shultz (DOB: 09/16/1993) both charged with burglary and larceny.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to a burglary in progress when prior to arrival an alert deputy observed a vehicle which matched the description given to dispatch of the suspect vehicle and suspects. Deputies initiated a traffic stop, at Rosewood Drive and Bluff Road, at which time Irick and Shultz were taken into custody.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that at 2:15 AM on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 1550 Old Dairy Drive (Carolina Rims, and Wheels) Irick and Shultz cut the locks to the gates at the business to gain access to the rear of the building. The Sheriff added that Irick and Shultz also kicked in a front window of the business creating damage to the business estimated at $725.00 and stole the following items:

  • HP Mini
  • HP Compaq Mini
  • Impactool, 1 inch drive
  • War-Lok-TKP -10 set

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that community support assisted in the apprehension of Irick and Shultz. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the Richland County Sheriff’s Department continues to build on the belief that a stronger community is a safer community! Irick and Shultz have been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
