FIFTY FELONY ARREST WARRANTS SERVED; FOUR SUSPECTS ACCUSED IN SEVERAL VIOLENT CRIME INVESTIGATIONS

COLUMBIA, SC - Acting Columbia Police Chief Ruben Santiago announces the arrests of four teenagers accused in four robbery investigations.

Quatavious Bernard Bivens (DOB: 4-28-1995) is charged with:

  • Three Counts of First Degree Assault and Battery
  • Two Counts of Criminal Conspiracy
  • Kidnapping
  • Armed Robbery
  • Strong Arm Robbery


Lakerio Vashun Lott (DOB: 9-26-1993) is charged with:

  • Three Counts of First Degree Assault and Battery
  • Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature
  • Four Counts of Criminal Conspiracy
  • Three Counts of Armed Robbery
  • Two Counts of Kidnapping
  • Strong Arm Robbery


Christopher Antwan Morgan (DOB: 11-25-1994) is charged with:

  • Three Counts of First Degree Assault and Battery
  • Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature
  • Four Counts of Criminal Conspiracy
  • Three Counts of Armed Robbery
  • Two Counts of Kidnapping
  • Strong Arm Robbery


Tyrone Lamar Weeks (DOB: 6-26-1995) is charged with:

  • Three Counts of First Degree Assault and Battery
  • Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature
  • Four Counts of Criminal Conspiracy
  • Three Counts of Armed Robbery
  • Two Counts of Kidnapping
  • Strong Arm Robbery


The charges stem from four robbery investigations; two on April 1, 2013 and two on April 2, 2013.

THE ALLEGATIONS:

Date- April 1, 2013

Time- 12:15 a.m.

Location- 1400 Oak Street

A male victim tells CPD Investigators that three black males followed him on foot as he walked alone on Oak Street shortly after midnight on April 1, 2013.

He adds that they pointed a gun at him to demand money. When he told them he didn’t have any, he says a gun was pointed at his head while the suspects searched his pockets. The suspects allegedly stole several cans of beer from him then ran away.

The victim was not physically injured.

Lott, Morgan and Weeks are charged in this case.

Date- April 1, 2013

Time- 1:30 a.m.

Location– 900 Harden Street

An hour and a half later, another male victim tells CPD Investigators that he was robbed after withdrawing money from the ATM at the 1000 block of Harden Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.

He adds that at the 900 block of Harden Street, three black males assaulted him with their fists and bricks and repeatedly kicked his body. The victim suffered from broken ribs, a punctured lung and multiple head wounds. He was treated at a local hospital.

The suspects are accused of stealing the money and running away from the scene.

Lott, Morgan and Weeks are charged in this case.

Date- April 2, 2013

Time-12:55 a.m.

Location- 716 Pine Street

A male suspect tells CPD Investigators that he was walking home alone from Pine Street when four black males approached him from behind. He adds that at least one pointed a gun at him and demanded his money and cell phone and then punched him.

The victim says they he was ordered to the ground as the suspects ran away.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Bivens, Lott, Morgan, and Weeks are charged in this case.

Date-April 2, 2013

Time- 2:00 a.m.

Location- 1505 Garden Plaza

Approximately an hour later, a male victim tells CPD Investigators that while he was walking alone in Garden Plaza when four black males grabbed his backpack, rummaged through it and stole his cell phones. He adds the suspects pushed him to the ground and searched his pockets, then stole his wallet.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Bivens, Lott, Morgan and Weeks are charged in this case.

All four suspects were booked and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
