AIKEN, SC - The Aiken Department of Public Safety and Crime Stoppers are offering up to $1,000.00 for information and the return of a Highly Collectable Coin Collection.

The victim has come forward and offered additional $2,500.00 cash in the recovery of these coins. On January 8, 2013, between the hours of 3:15 AM and 4:30 AM four homes were burglarized and multiple vehicle broken into. These crimes occurred within ½ mile of each other.

At one of the homes, the thieves stole a stash of gold and silver coins. Police are still looking for some of these coins.

The list included $10 Eagle Coins, Gold AM Buffalo Coins, Canadian Maple Leaf gold coins, and Morgan Silver Dollars.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the collection is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC (888-274-6872). Your call will remain anonymous.
