Deputies: Shots fired outside club, drugs and stolen guns seized
Thursday, March 14, 2013

COLUMBIA, SC - Richland County deputies arrested one man and seized drugs and two stolen guns following shots fired outside a Columbia nightclub, according to sheriff’s deputies.

The report said around 3:30 a.m. deputies responded to Club Phenom located on Broad River Road after hearing gun shots in the area.

Deputies say a fight between several individuals started in the club and spilled over to the parking lot where several shots were fired.

According to sheriff’s deputies, no one was hit by the bullets, but several cars in the club parking lot were struck.

Officers detained several individuals and charged 29-year-old Randrell Jamar Sumter in connection with the shooting, the report stated.

Two stolen guns were recovered in connection with the shooting, deputies say. One gun was reported stolen out of Alabama and the other out of Columbia. Drugs were also seized, according to the report.
