Deputies search for man who tried to rob auto parts store

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who tried to rob an auto parts store Saturday night.

Deputy Curtis Wilson says just before 9 p.m., a man with a handgun tried to enter the Auto Zone in the 7700 block of Garners Ferry Road. Wilson said employees were able to lock the door and prevent the man from getting in.

The man ran off.

Deputies searched the area, but they could not find him. 

There were no injuries.
