SCHP seeks pickup involved in hit-and-run

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle that hit a bicyclist and took off.

Troopers say a bicyclist was hit at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday on US 178 near Weatherford Road in Orangeburg County. After the crash, investigators say the vehicle left the scene.

Troopers say the cyclist was seriously injured.

The vehicle of interest is described as a full-size Chevrolet pickup, Avalanche or Tahoe, model year 2001-to-2005. Troopers say the vehicle may have damage to the right front area near the headlight, fender and mirror.
