Police: Armed man robbed two females on USC campus

COLUMBIA, SC - Police are looking for a man who robbed two females on the campus of the University of South Carolina late Wednesday night.

The robbery happened around 11:45 p.m. near the intersection of Sumter Street and Greene Street.

According to police, a male got out of a red four-door vehicle and approached two females walking along Sumter Street. As he got closer to them, he pointed a weapon and told them to put their wallets on the ground.

The man then picked up the wallets and got into the passenger seat of the car.

The vehicle fled on Sumter Street.

The victims were not hurt.

Police say the robber is a black male, standing about 6' 2" and wearing a gray hoodie and baggy jeans.

The description of the driver is unknown.

The case is being investigated by the Columbia Police Department.
