IRMO, SC - The Irmo Police Department has identified the driver from the pursuit that occurred the morning of February 5, 2013. Arrest warrants have been issued for Quintin Lafayette Garrett of 106 Richcreek Road in Columbia. Garrett is a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds.

Garrett is accused in warrants of Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Seatbelt Violation. Approximately 9:30 AM, February 5, 2013 on Lake Murray Boulevard, Irmo Police stopped a black Mitsubishi Galant operated by Garrett. When the officer exited his patrol car, Garrett fled from the officer and initiated a vehicle pursuit. The officer pursued Garrett on Lake Murray Boulevard, Broad River Road, Zimelcrest Drive, Interstate 26, Interstate 20 and Interstate 277 where Garrett abandoned the vehicle between mile-markers 3 and 4. No one was injured during the pursuit and no vehicles were damaged.
