RCSD deputies win top shooter and state championship‏

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is proud to announce that Investigator David Collins and Sergeant Eric Bright were honored by the South Carolina Police Combat League on December 1, 2012 during the annual SCPCL “Governor’s Twenty” banquet.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that our deputies train constantly to improve themselves and the services we provide our citizens; the recognition that David Collins and Eric Bright received is an example of what your Deputies are doing to better themselves through training and competition. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that SCPCL recognized David as the Top New Shooter 2012 and Top Stock Classified Revolver Shooter and Eric with the State Championship for High Classified Shooter 2012.

Sheriff Leon Lott is extremely proud of all of our deputies who patrol our communities, search out the criminals and also those that attend school and/or train to improve themselves mentally and physically. The Sheriff added that all of our deputies have a passion for improving the quality of life in our communities and a commitment to professionalism that is second to none.
