LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Monday, December 10 arrested a 22-year-old Columbia man on charges that the man unlawfully entered three motor vehicles, with the intention of theft, that had been left unlocked outside an apartment complex on Berryhill Road, near Columbia.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said deputies arrested Keenan Erskine Sullivan, 22, of 18 Berryhill Road, Columbia, on arrest warrants on three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle. An arrest warrant alleges that early Monday morning Sullivan unlawfully entered an unlocked 2004 Chevrolet Malibu that was parked outside an apartment building on Berryhill Road.

An arrest warrant also alleges that Woods unlawfully entered an unlocked 1998 Buick that was parked outside the same apartment building on Berryhill Road.

An arrest warrant also alleges that Woods unlawfully entered an unlocked 1989 Nissan pickup truck that was parked outside the same apartment building on Berryhill Road.

A resident of the apartment complex witnessed Sullivan rummaging through vehicles and contacted the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies arrived at approximately 4:20 a.m. to find Sullivan inside the 2004 Chevy Malibu, looking for items to steal, Metts said. Deputies arrested Sullivan without incident.
