Vehicle burns behind Blue Coyote

IRMO, SC - Authorities are looking for witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious near the Blue Coyote Grill Sunday afternoon after a vehicle caught on fire behind the business.

Around 3 p.m., people passing by the Blue Coyote at 10708 Broad River Road called 911 to report a vehicle behind the building may be on fire. Responding fire personnel found heavy fire in a vehicle at the location, which is near the fork at Dutch Fork Road and Broad River Road.

Investigators said the vehicle had been stored in this location by the owner of the business for several years.

Arriving fire personnel extinguished the fire and the Irmo Police Department notified investigators to respond.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The public’s assistance is being requested for any witnesses who might have seen people and/or vehicles in the area at just before or after this time period.
