Suspect Accused of Robbing Dollar Generals, Hardee's ID'd
Monday, November 5, 2012

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have identified the man they say robbed two Dollar General stores and a fast-food restaurant.

Officers want to find 29-year-old Antonio Dequan Sadler. They intend to charge him with armed robbery, unlawful carrying of a pistol, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Officers say Sadler robbed the Dollar General on South Beltline Boulevard and the Hardee's on Rosewood Drive on October 25, and is believed to have robbed the Dollar General on Leesburg Road Tuesday.

Officers say on the 25th, Sadler went into the Rosewood Hardee's, stood in line at the counter, and ordered a cheeseburger. As soon as the cash register opened, police say the suspect pulled a gun on the clerk, walked around the counter, and stole money.

Police say Sadler then went to the Beltline Dollar General which is about three blocks away. Officers say he pulled out a gun and took candy bars and money from the register.

Investigators also believe he's connected to the robbery of the Leesburg Dollar General at 2:30 p.m. on October 30. According to the victim, the man walked up to the counter and pretended to buy candy. When the register opened, police say he pointed a gun at the clerk and stole cash.

Witnesses told police the robber got into a Champagne color, 4-door sedan and left the scene.
