Sheriff’s Office Investigating Friday Night Shooting

Lancaster, SC – On Friday 11/16/2012 at approximately 9 pm Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Mt. Carmel Rd. in Heath Springs after receiving a report of shooting. Upon arrival deputies found the victim with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the arm. The victim stated that an unknown black male subject knocked on his door and advised that his vehicle had broken down. The victim stated he observed a dark colored SUV parked near the roadway with the hazard lights on. The victim reported that when he went into the yard, four unknown black males dressed in all black came out of the bushes and jumped him. The victim reported that a shot was fired and he fled to a neighbor’s residence. The victim stated that during the altercation the suspects asked for money. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and began a detailed investigation.
