Sheriff releases sketch of Orangeburg Co. kidnapping suspect
Tuesday, November 13, 2012

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a man accused of kidnapping a teenager.

On Nov. 5, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., the 15-year-old victim was walking home on Legrand Smoak Street in Cordova, when a white man in a blue truck approached the teen and asked him if he had any money.

The sheriff's office says the suspect then pointed a gun at the teen and demanded him to get into the vehicle.

The suspect asked the teen again if he had any money. Authorities say when the teen replied no, the suspect then drove around the area and dropped him off in a neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a bald, heavy set white male, with a spiderweb tattoo on his right forearm, driving a 1980's-1990's sky blue Chevy pick-up truck with white trim. The truck has a deer processing sticker on the dash board.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigations at (803) 534-3550 or call Crime Stoppers at (888) 554-1111.
