Police searching for armed robber on bicycle

Police are searching for a man on a bicycle after a reported robbery at a business in Forest Acres.

According to Lt. Brian Hinson, Forest Acres Police are investigating a robbery at The Vitamin Store on Beltline Boulevard. It happened around 9:15 a.m.

Police said the suspect is an armed black male who fled the scene on a bicycle.

A Richland School District One spokesperson said A.C. Flora and Crayton Middle School were on lockdown as a precaution, but have since returned to normal operations.

No other details were available.
