Mobile Home Fire Investigated as Arson
Thursday, November 29, 2012

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A pre-dawn fire Tuesday destroyed a mobile home in north-east Richland County, and has been determined to be arson.

Columbia Fire spokesperson Brick Lewis reports the 4am fire Tuesday was at a mobile home currently under renovation, and the Columbia Fire Marshall conducted an investigation, determining the fire was arson.

Lewis also stated that one person was treated and released by EMS for smoke inhalation, although at the time it was unknown if this person was involved somehow, or was the individual who called 911.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is now investigating the arson case. If you have any information regarding this fire, please contact CRIMESTOPPERS at 888-CRIME-SC.
