LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking help from citizens in identifying the man who robbed a Corner Pantry convenience store at 1897 South Lake Drive, Lexington, at about 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said a surveillance camera video of the man who robbed the convenience store can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Department Facebook page. Witnesses told deputies that the man, who was African-American, was between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 and weighed between 135 pounds and 155 pounds. The man was wearing a navy blue long-sleeve, pull-over shirt and a yellow-green-black-and-red knit cap on his head. Fake dredlocks were attached to the cap.

Metts asked anyone with information about the robbery or the man who committed the robbery to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (www.lexingtonsheriff.com).
