Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

Lancaster, SC – On Thursday 10-18-2012 at approximately 1PM deputies were dispatched to Williams Financial located at 123 East Richland St. in Kershaw, SC for an armed robbery in progress. Upon arrival it was learned that a male suspect entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded money. After taking money from the business, the male subject fled to the parking lot where he got into a vehicle driven by a female. No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation. By 4 PM investigators had identified and arrested Rebecca Outen Cauthen (W/F DOB: 08/30/1976 Address: 5248 Lockhart Rd. Kershaw, SC) and Aaron Donaldson (W/M DOB:03/11/1993 Address: 308 Hagins St. Rock Hill, SC). Investigators were able to recover some of the money stolen from the business when Cauthen and Donaldson were located.

Both Donaldson and Cauthen have been charged with Armed Robbery and were jailed at the Lancaster County Detention awaiting a bond hearing. Donaldson was also charged with Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Sheriff Faile said, “First and foremost we are thankful that no one was injured during the incident. We are extremely pleased that we were able to get these suspects identified and arrested so quickly. Donaldson is on probation for burglary therefore giving us another example of the problems repeat offenders cause our county.”
